SCS 3 Quick Release Stirrup Iron The SCS3 Quick Release stirrup iron looks and feels like a normal iron. However, a unique release mechanism has been discreetly integrated into its construction. A composite rubber tube forms part of the outer section of the stirrup iron. This opens or releases fully in the event of an accident. • The rubber release tube is held in place by two lugs. The lower lug is the optimum length to support the outside of the foot and prevent accidental release of the mechanism. • The stirrup is constructed from solid cast stainless steel. • It has been tested to demonstrate a breaking strength of 1,100kg. • The stirrup has a 5 degree backward incline to help you achieve a ‘heels-down’ foot position.
.SCS 3 Stirrup Treads • Grooves on the stirrup tread interact perfectly with corresponding grooves on the SCS3 footwear sole. • This unique stirrup tread is constructed from two different rubber composites with shock-absorbing qualities to reduce stress and strain on the joints of the legs, hip and back. • The top layer is firm and rigid to give a strong and effective connection with the boots. It is also hardwearing and durable to ensure a long life-span. • The lower layer is flexible and easy to fit into a stirrup iron. • The tread is higher at the front to help your heel rest in a natural downwards position. • SCS3 treads fit into most irons and offer improved grip compared to conventional treads.
